Pastor Andrew Broucher
LEAD PASTOR
Pastor Andrew was raised in the mountains of Somerset and did not grow up in a Christian home, though he was dedicated as an infant at Freedom Baptist Church. After graduating from Somerset Area Senior High School, he worked as a mechanic at Kenny Ross Chevrolet while pursuing his dream of becoming a NASCAR driver.
Everything changed on December 2, 2007, when, at the age of 19, Andrew attended a church service with his father and placed his faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. Not long after his salvation, God began working in his heart about preaching. After a season of prayer, growth, and surrender to the Lord’s will, Andrew committed his life to full-time ministry.
At the age of 20, he moved to North Augusta to attend Victory Baptist College. During his time there, he was actively involved in numerous ministries through Victory Baptist Church, including soul winning, jail ministry, nursing home ministry, homeless outreach, and the Care Team Ministry. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Theology and later completed a Master’s Degree in Biblical Exposition from Andersonville Theological Seminary. With the blessing and mentorship of Pastor Dr. R. Larry Brown, Andrew was launched into full-time ministry.
Following graduation in 2013, Pastor Andrew returned to Somerset, Pennsylvania, where he spent several years serving in evangelism, preaching revivals, youth rallies, camps, and special meetings throughout the tri-state area. During this time, he also worked full-time as a hospice chaplain, ministering to families and individuals during some of life’s most difficult moments.
In 2019, Pastor Andrew married his wife, Delyla, and together they are blessed with three daughters. In 2022, New Hope Baptist Church was able to bring Pastor Andrew on as full-time pastor and purchase its current property, formerly Bailey’s Circle 219 Bar, located on 13 acres in Somerset County.
Pastor Andrew has a deep passion for preaching the Word of God, reaching people with the Gospel, and helping families grow in their relationship with Christ. His desire is to see lives transformed through the power of the Gospel and for New Hope Baptist Church to be a place where people can find hope, truth, and spiritual help through Jesus Christ.
