Pastor Andrew Broucher

LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Andrew was raised in the mountains of Somerset, Pennsylvania, but did not grow up in a Christian home, despite being dedicated as an infant at Freedom Baptist Church. After graduating from Somerset Area Senior High School, he worked as a mechanic at Kenny Ross Chevrolet while pursuing his dream of becoming a NASCAR driver.

At the age of 19, God radically changed Andrew’s life when he came to saving faith in Jesus Christ after attending a church service with his father on December 2, 2007. About a year later, God began calling Andrew to preach, and after a season of prayer and surrender, he committed his life to the ministry.

At age 20, Andrew moved to North Augusta, South Carolina, to attend Victory Baptist College. While there, he served in multiple ministries, including soul winning, jail ministry, nursing home ministry, homeless ministry, and the Care Team Ministry of Victory Baptist Church. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology and, with the blessing of Pastor Dr. R. Larry Brown, was launched into full-time ministry.

After graduating in 2013, Andrew returned to Somerset and served in evangelism for several years, preaching revivals, youth rallies, and camps throughout the tri-state area. He worked full-time as a hospice chaplain for several years.

Pastor Andrew married his wife, Delyla, in 2019, and together they have three daughters. In 2022, New Hope Baptist Church was able to bring Pastor Andrew on full-time and purchase its current property—the former Bailey’s Circle 219 Bar —situated on 13 acres in Somerset, PA.
